    Through a Renter’s Lens – Photo Competition
The Tenants’ Union of NSW is hosting a photo competition and we want your contribution! There are cash prizes – $1,500 (category winners), $300 (finalists) and $150 (runners-up). Entries open at midday on Monday, 12 December 2022 and close at midnight on Wednesday 25 January 2023. We will exhibit the top entries in a one-night event in February 2023 where we are hoping to connect renters and advocates with politicians and other organisations focussed on renting justice. This competition will create new opportunities for renters’ voices to be heard, and help decision-makers see housing 'through a renter's lens.'

It follows a ragtag bunch of millennial housemates who get evicted and have to navigate the hellish rental market in search of a new place to call home, all on top of job hunting, side hustling and dating.

Pod off the press – Renting Bytes
The Tenants’ Union plunged into the world of podcasting roughly 12 months ago. Alongside co-producers Legal Aid NSW we planned and launched 'Renting Matters', a podcast series aimed for community workers. 'Renting Matters' quickly became one of the most popular podcasts produced by Legal Aid. Now, as we wind up that series and publish our brand-new in-house podcast for renters, 'Renting Bytes', we take a moment to reflect on podcasting.
