COVID-19 service update: Tenant Advocates are working remotely. Our advice line continues to operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. The advice will be limited to the following matters: termination; threats of or actual eviction; hearings in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal; domestic violence; urgent repairs relating to electricity/water supply or damage from fire, flood, storm; serious health or safety issues. Non urgent matters will be referred to NSW Fair Trading: 13 32 20. We will continue to advise social housing tenants but there may be delays in providing a service.
The Northern Rivers Tenants Advice & Advocacy Service (NORTAAS) provides free advice and referral for all tenants and residential parks residents in the NSW Northern Rivers. Our services are available to renters from Tweed Heads to Grafton and west to Drake. When you call, please listen to the answering service carefully and leave a message with the information required.
