Dear …

Re: Payment of money for urgent repairs to [your address]

I am writing to seek reimbursement within 14 days under section 28(1) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1987 for the amount of $ [amount] for repairs to the blocked toilet at the above premises .

I notified you of these urgent repairs on [date] and no action was taken by you to arrange repairs to the toilet. Under section 28(1) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1987, I can authorise repairs up to $1000 as I have given you reasonable notice that urgent repairs are required and you have not taken any action.

I have attached a receipt for the money I have paid to the plumber. Please repay this money within 14 days or I will be seeking orders from the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal for the reimbursement of the money owed to me.

Yours sincerely

T Tenant
